SLIDING SCALE DONATION

We are balancing the scales in creating original art & theatre that is accessible to all,

and particularly to Black, Indigenous & Immigrant People of Color (BIPOC) who have historically been excluded from "the Arts" in the US. Towards this end, Rites of Passage is offering hundreds of free tickets to local BIPOC communities & organizations, and lower income communities. We invite our white or "Non-BIPOC" friends & community members to reflect on the nature of participating in a healing experience that showcases the strength, vulnerability and wisdom of Black, Indigenous and Immigrant Women of Color.

Our sliding scale donation is an invitation to pay commensurate to your income level, and class, racial and gender status.

As a general rule of thumb, we encourage:

-BIPOC Women, Trans & Non-Binary folks to donate less, unless they are wealthy,

-BIPOC cis men to pay a little more unless they are struggling economically.

-middle, upper-middle class and wealthy white women to give more generously,

-and white cis men to give as generously as they can.

If you are unable to afford our lowest end ticket ($1 + service fees = $3),

please reach out to us at tickets@ritesofpassageproject.org
