Shaping this new story involves a re-vision of "the Feminine"
and ultimately,
a Declaration of it.
As women, we are on the forefront of change as storytellers and weavers
of Life, Death + new Life,
able to wield immense power
when we join together with wisdom + compassion.
CREATING ROOMS OF OUR OWN
FROM GIRLHOOD THROUGH ELDERHOOD
The live performance or "living museum"
takes place inside a house with many rooms.
Each room represents a stage or theme of initiation
in women's lives from birth to death.
Together, we are housing the "Collective Female Soul".
I never truly acknowledged the fact that I was female until about the 2nd room, and realized maybe its not so bad as I thought."

The first live iteration of ROP
took place in 2013 in Pittsfield, MA
in a historic Women's Club building.
A second live production
- Rites of Passage 20/20 VISION -
is now planned for the SUMMER OF 2020
focused on the lives of women of color.
Collaboratively created by women from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities,
Rites of Passage is a living, breathing invocation
for the healing of our lineages, the weaving of our many colors
and a fertile future for the generations to come.
Creativity is not a solitary movement. That is its power. Whatever is touched by it, whoever hears it, sees it, senses it, knows it, is fed. A single creative act has the potential to feed a continent. One creative act can cause a torrent to break through stone."
